“Cape Hillsbourough is known for kangaroos that are thought to come down to the beach to drink fresh water that is seeping onto the surface of the beach. On this morning, there were a few kangaroos and wallabies on the beach. I didn’t move too much and did so very slowly; I stayed low to not be intimidating to them. These two grey kangaroos virtually came right up to me and posed for this shot. Its quite rare to have such a close experience to wild animals, especially kangaroos and wallabies, which normally hop away from humans as fast as they possibly can (and I don’t blame them)! This image is timelesss; it gives a feeling of what it was like to live on a continent full of wildlife before the arrival of man.”
